If you purchased something at Best Buy between October 27th and December 30th, there's good news! You have more time till January 13 to return. However, there are different rules for certain items, like active devices (think cell phones and tablets), AppleCare+ plans, and holiday decorations.

My Best Buy Plus™ and My Best Buy Total™
members: Purchases made October 27 through November 15, 2023 can be refunded
through January 13, 2024. For purchases made on November 16, 2023 and after,
you'll get 60 days.
Remember, Verizon activated devices have a 30
day return period for all customers. And, the first day is the day you received
the product.
Returning or Exchanging Items Made Simple
If you purchased something before October 27,
2023 or may after December 30, 2023, Here's what you need to know about
returning or exchanging about it.
The return and exchange period begins from the day you receive your product.. This applies to new, clearance, open-box, refurbished and pre-owned item. The policy covers purchases from Best Buy, Best Buy Outlet, Pacific Sales, Pacific Sales Outlet, Magnolia Design Center, Best Buy Education and Best Buy Business.
- For Most Products the Standard Days 15 and for My Best Buy Plus™ and My Best Buy Total™ members 60 Days
- For Activatable Devices the Standard Days 14 and for My Best Buy Plus™ and My Best Buy Total™ members 60 Days
- Activatable devices such as cell phones, tablets, hotspots, and wearables that can be activated. If you have a Verizon device that you can be activated, you have 30 days for return it, no matter who you are.
Restocking Fees Simplified
Some items Best Buy sell may incur a restocking fee if you return them. Here are the details:
Activating devices (except prepaid phones): Return fee is $45.
For drones, cameras, electric bikes and other
items: Return fee is 15% of the purchase price of the item.
But, if the product is unopened or both the
purchase and return occur in certain states, Such as AL, CO, HI, IA, MS, OH,
OK, SC, and where prohibited by law, There is no restocking fee. Keep in mind,
restocking fees may be taxed in some states.
Items You Can't Return
Some items are final sale, meaning you can't
return them.
Other items you cannot return include custom
orders, personalized items, certain digital content (except Microsoft Office),
prepaid cards, vehicle replacement key fobs, subscriptions, full services,
certain plumbing items, sexual wellness products, trading cards ( such as
Pokémon cards). ), home standby generators, opened products that have had
contact with bodily fluids, opened SIM kits, opened LEGO products, and
batteries, cleaning agents, oils, fuels, filters, cleaners, health supplements,
health test kits, inks and 3 3D printer consumables like filament.
Returning Items in Good Shape
When you return items, they must be in
"as new" condition. This means that they should not be damaged,
unclean, damaged, scratched or missing important parts. Clothes are part of the

Getting Your Refund
Except in a few cases, Best Buy will refund
you your money for returned items in the same manner as you paid for them. If

For returns by mail, Best Buy will process it
in 7-10 business days. After that, depending on your bank, it may take another
10 days for it to appear in your account.
If you paid by cash (over $800), check or
debit card without a major credit card logo (over $250), Best Buy refund you by
check within 10 business days.
The gift card deduction will go back into the

with your order number, and Best Buy will send you a new order.
